Connor
Peterson
Aspiring finance professional with a focus on entertainment media investment, film production, and the capital that brings stories to life.
What I Do
Three threads that run through everything — finance, media, and visual craft.
Finance & Strategy
Equity research, M&A modeling, and capital structuring across consumer and media verticals. Comfortable in an operating model or a pitch deck.
Entertainment Media
Tracking the business of storytelling — studios, streamers, exhibitors, and the IP that drives them. Independent research on IMAX and the premium large-format opportunity.
Visual Production
Directing and editing video content end-to-end at BYU's Sorensen Center for Moral & Ethical Leadership — from storyboard to final cut.
Recent Win
Winning by identifying what others missed.
Took first place against roughly 30 teams by proposing Sunoco's acquisition of Offen Petroleum — spotting a 6-state PADD IV distribution gap in Sunoco's NuStar infrastructure. Modeled $180M in combined EBITDA with a 5.1x post-synergy multiple, projecting >10% DCF accretion and ~19% IRR by Year 3.
A bit more context
The résumé tells one story. Here are three lines that add color.

Full-time volunteer — managed social media for 140+ volunteers, led regional teams, and spent two years in daily conversation across diverse communities.
Fluent in Spanish
Full professional fluency — spoken, written, and read. The kind that comes from living in it, not just studying it.
